Icard Township Fire / Rescue will host their Annual Future Firefigher's Camp this month!
This camp is designed to educate participants about Fire Safety, basic First Aid and Fire
Service strategies used in the Fire Service. A schedule and dates for the ITFR Future
Firefighter Camp are listed below. Please contact the F.D. with any questions.

Camp hours are 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. Each day.
Mon. June 22: Orientation & First Aid
Tues. June 23: CPR
Wed. June 24: Fire Prevention, Apparatus and Equipment
Thur. June 25: Firefighter Obstacle Course
Fri. June 26: Cookout & Award Ceremony

MVA ( 2 Vehicle )
6-14-2009
Icard Fire responded to a reported MVA including 2 vehicles. The incident ocurred at
South Center ST. & Main Ave. West - Hildebran. First arriving units confirmed a 2 vehicle
MVA and established a safe working area.
Responding Agencies: Icard Fire C-640, C-1, Rescue 646, Burke County EMS, Burke
County S.O. NCSHP.
MVA ( Single Vehicle w/ Rollover )

At approximately 1434 HRS Icard Fire responded to a reported MVA on Miller Bridge Rd.
First arriving unit confirmed a single vehicle rollover and established a safe working
area.
Responding Units: Icard C-640, Rescue 646, Burke County EMS Crew 22, NCSHP
( MVA ) I-40 Access Rd. & S. Center St/

At approximately 1247 HRS Icard Fire responded to a reported MVA involving 2 vehicles.
First arriving units confirmed and established a safe working area. Firefighters assisted
with patient care, traffic control and contained a small fluid leak.

ITFR Future Firefighter Camp

The annual ITFR Future Firefighters Camp concluded on June 26,2009. Pictured above
are the participants in the camp. Participants in the camp learned about a variety of
things from techniques used in fighting fires to providing basic first aid. Participants also
completed an obstacle course among many other activities. An Award Ceremony and
Cookout was hosted the last day of the camp.
