Residential Structure Fire - July 28, 2010
At 2333 HRS Icard Township Fire / Rescue responded to a reported Residential Structure Fire. The first
arriving unit confirmed a fully involved structure fire. Drowning Creek Fire Department responded a Tanker
with manpower and Lovelady Fire Department responded with 5 personnel for manpower to assist with the
incident. Burke County React provided Traffic Control. U.S. 70 was shut down for the duration of the incident.
Responding Agencies: Icard C-640, C-1, E-4, E-2, S-1. Drowning Creek T-1, Lovelady C-630 and U-6. Burke
County EMS Crew 34 & 803. Burke County React & Burke County Fire Marshal's Office 796.

Tree on Vehicle - July 18, 2010
At 1623 HRS Icard Fire responded to the PVA of Burger
King in Icard in reference to a tree on a vehicle.
Firefighters established a safe working area and assisted
a towing company with removal of the tree from the
vehicle.
Responding Units: Icard C-640, C-1, E-1 & E-2.

Residential Structure Fire - July 11, 2010
At 0759 HRS Icard E-3 & C-1 responded Automatic Mutual
Aid to Long View Fire for a reported Structure Fire. The first
arriving unit found nothing showing from the exterior and
investigated.
Responding Units: Icard C-1, & E-3. Long View C-200,
C-1 & E-23.

Traffic Accident - June 6, 2010
At 1753 HRS Icard Fire responded to a Traffic Accident on
I-40 under the 118 Mile Marker over pass. The first arriving
unit found a 2 vehicle collison and requested a Helicopter
to fly out one patient. React assisted with Traffic Control
Responding Units: Icard C-1, C-640, R-1, & E-2. Burke
County EMS Crew 34 & 803. MedCenter Air 2. Burke
County React. NCSHP.

near Winkler's Grove Church. The first arriving unit found a
2 vehicle near head on collision. One vehicle had left the
roadway and traveled a short distance into a wooded
area. Burke County React assisted with Traffic Control.
